UNC Asheville Office of Financial Aid
The UNC Asheville Office of Financial Aid staff is here to assist you with the Financial Aid process. We have a professional staff ready to help with all of your Financial Aid inquiries. Our office is located on the UNC Asheville campus on the second floor of University Hall.
To apply for most types of aid, students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each academic year. The FAFSA's priority filing date for the 2008-2009 academic year was March 1. This priority deadline is in no way a final deadline, but is put into place to ensure that the student is eligible for as much Financial Aid as possible.
Please use the UNC Asheville Financial Aid Handbook as a guide to help you understand the application process and eligibility requirements for receiving financial aid.
To be eligible to receive any type of Institutional, State or Federal aid, students must be making satisfactory academic progress toward the completion of degree requirements as discussed in the UNC Asheville Financial Aid Handbook. Although part-time enrolled students are eligible to receive financial aid, because many state grants are based on full-time enrollment, all students are encouraged to enroll full-time (12 or more credit hours per semester).
