From America’s Founding to Contemporary Syria
As the world’s nations wrestle with responses to the stepped-up battles in Syria, UNC Asheville will present a Tuesday midday talk, “A Future for Syria,” by Booke Allen, author of the 2011 book, “The Other Side of the Mirror: An American Travels Through Syria.” Allen also offers a separate talk on Monday evening about the religious views of America’s founding fathers. February is Black History Month
UNC Asheville will celebrate Black History Month throughout February with a series of events that are open to the public. Films, live music and performance, a panel discussion on “The State of the Black Student,” and a reading by Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Natasha Trethewey are all in store. Read More >
