The Radiation Protection Section of the NC Department of Health and Human Services governs the acquisition, use, and disposal of radioactive material and radiation-producing machines.

If you will be using radioactive material or acquiring radiation-producing machines in your laboratory, contact the University’s Radiation Safety Officer (RSO).
