Fab Nights
Fab Nights are informal workshops for current UNC Asheville students, faculty, and staff. Regular fab nights are offered each Fall and Spring semester to give participants an introduction to studio safety, machines, and materials. These workshops are typically 2-3 hours long and center a specific tool or process. Past projects include welded steel flowers, laser-cut light boxes, simple cutting boards, and waterjet-cut book marks. If you are interested in a scheduled workshop, check out our offerings on Eventbrite. All workshops have a material fee of $15+ and require registration since space is limited.

Custom Fab Nights
Custom workshops for groups (like clubs, academic departments, etc.) are available by request and have a materials and machine fee per person. Email steamstudio@unca.edu to inquire about a custom fab night. Note: Fab Nights can be during the day too!
