Summer 2025 Tuition Grant
As part of UNC Asheville’s ongoing Helene Relief efforts, we are offering a Summer 2025 Tuition Grant for current degree-seeking students. This grant will cover the cost of up to two summer courses at the in-state tuition rate. The grant can be used for in-person, online, or hybrid classes or for UNC Asheville faculty-led summer study abroad experiences. Courses must meet Course Program of Study (CPOS) requirements. The grant does not cover fees, housing, or other associated expenses.

Course Modality

Most summer courses will be offered online, with some hybrid and in-person. Online courses will be asynchronous, synchronous, or a mix of both:

  • Asynchronous (listed on the schedule as “Async” under days and times): Students do not meet with instructors at specified times, although instructors are available to answer questions, monitor online discussions, provide feedback on assignments, and hold virtual office hours. Students complete assignments and course modules independently, within a particular period of time.
  • Synchronous/Mixed – Students will “meet” with faculty remotely, via videoconferencing, during some or all of the specific days and times listed on the schedule. In order to participate in synchronous or mixed classes, students must be available to meet during the indicated class times.

Registration opens April 7!
