Katherine Min Memorial Reading with Jennifer Sperry Steinorth

Jennifer Sperry Steinorth will visit UNC Asheville for the Katherine Min Memorial Reading. The reading will be held in the Blue Ridge Room of Highsmith Student Union and is free and open to the public.

About Jennifer Sperry Steinorth

Jennifer Sperry Steinorth’s books include “Boys Behind Glass,” “Her Read: A Graphic Poem,” and “A Wake with Nine Shades.” She is a finalist for the Eric Hoffer Prize, a recipient of the Foreword Reviews Bronze Prize for Poetry, and a recipient of the Fred Whitehead Award from the Texas Institute of Letters. A poet, educator, interdisciplinary artist & licensed builder, she has received grants from Yale, Vermont Studio Center, the Sewanee Writers Conference, and the Community of Writers & the Institute for Research on Women & Gender at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where she is a lecturer in the English Department. She is currently at work on a biography of American poet, C.D. Wright.

This event is part of the 2026-27 Visiting Writers Series presented by the UNC Asheville English Department.
