The certificate program is open to all degree-seeking and non-degree-seeking students. It is particularly beneficial for those majoring in Business, Computer Science, or Economics and professionals who wish to enhance their data-centric understanding of business operations. Certificate at a Glance

  • Minimum of 16 credit hours from four courses
  • Two foundational courses (BUS 392 and BUS 388) and two additional 300-400 level courses
  • All courses must be completed at UNC Asheville
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 in all certificate courses

Required Courses

With the certificate coordinator’s approval, other relevant courses may be included to fulfill the certificate requirements. Students must ensure they meet all course prerequisites or obtain a waiver from the instructor.
