With a lifelong passion for art and education Cynthia Fountain felt at home in the Art department at UNC Asheville from the beginning. Upon completing her BA in Art History 2009 at UNC Asheville. Cynthia left to attend Georgetown University in pursuit of her Master’s degree in Art and Museum Studies. While attending Georgetown, Cynthia held positions in the curator’s office at the Supreme Court of the United States and International Arts and Artists an arts service and traveling exhibition facilitator. After graduation Cynthia returned to Asheville as Director of Artetude Gallery. She was delighted to return to the Art Department in 2017 to serve as its Administrative Assistant.

In addition to her duties as an admin in the Department of Art and Art History. Cynthia spends her free time pursuing her love of travel, art, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
