Allison H. Weems is a professor of French at UNC Asheville. After earning her Ph.D., she was a Lecturer in French at the University of Tennessee and also served as Assistant Director of the Language and World Business Program. Most recently, she taught at Western Carolina University and will be teaching at Warren Wilson College this fall. In 2014, she founded the Asheville French School and enjoys teaching adult language classes and private lessons. In her spare time, she volunteers with local non-profits, notably, Asheville Sister Cities where she is co-chair of the Saumur, France committee. She also teaches ESOL lessons through the Buncombe County Literacy Council.
