About the Parents Council
The UNC Asheville Parents Council is an engaged advisory and ambassador group that works closely with the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management and university leadership.
Council members provide valuable perspectives on the student experience, support initiatives that enhance student life, and help strengthen the partnership between families and the University.
As a member of the Parents Council, you will:
- Attend two annual on-campus meetings with university leadership focused on student life, institutional priorities, and emerging opportunities.
- Serve as an ambassador for UNC Asheville within your community and professional networks.
- Help expand career mentoring, internship, and networking opportunities for students.
- Demonstrate philanthropic leadership through an annual leadership gift of $2,500 in support of the student experience.

- Gain insight into university priorities, initiatives, and future plans.
- Help create career pathways and professional opportunities for students.
