Personalized, Interdisciplinary Curriculum
Designed to enable students majoring in interdisciplinary studies to examine and evaluate social issues, the law, ethics, and social policy program explores economic, political, and cultural institutions and the relationships between them. Students design their own individualized course of study by drawing on many disciplines, including but not limited to economics, political science, business, mass communication, psychology, and sociology.
Career Paths
Law, Ethics, and Social Policy draws from from diverse disciplines to tailor the curriculum to align with their individual career goals and academic interests. Graduates will be well-prepared for advanced studies or careers in law, government, social services, public service, and advocacy where they can champion justice and equality.
Internships
Students round out their coursework with internships or service-learning experiences during the summer or academic year, applying their interdisciplinary training to real-world settings. Paired with faculty mentorship, these placements help students test career directions across fields like government, business, humanitarian work, and the arts, translating a flexible, cross-disciplinary education into hands-on professional experience.
Knowledge for Meaningful Change
Through Law, Ethics, and Social Policy, students will explore how legal systems and ethical frameworks can be leveraged to address the needs of disempowered communities.
