UNC Asheville Office of Financial Aid

Welcome to the UNC Asheville Office of Financial Aid Website. Please peruse our website to get better acquainted with the financial aid process. The University of North Carolina at Asheville has a broad program of financial aid for students who qualify on the basis of need and academic potential.

Financial aid may consist of a Grants & Scholarships, a Federal Stafford Loan, Federal Work Study or a combination of these. Assistance provided by the university is designed to supplement the resources of students and their parents and should not be relied upon to defray all expenses.

NEW! Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy

To be eligible to receive any type of Federal, State, or Institutional aid, students must be making satisfactory academic progress toward the completion of degree requirements as discussed in the UNC Asheville Financial Aid Handbook. This new policy will be in effect for the 2008-2009 Academic School Year. If you have been notified that you are not making Satisfactory Academic Progress for the 2007-2008 Academic Year, you were evaluated under the old guidance. You will not be reevaluated under the new provisions until December. If you have further questions, please contact our office.
