As part of the curriculum requirements for graduation, UNC Asheville management majors must fulfill either an internship, an undergraduate research project, or a study abroad program. To fulfill the requirement via study abroad, students will complete at least 3 management/business focused credit hours abroad in an approved study abroad program.
There are many opportunities for UNC Asheville management students to study abroad. Through one or more of our partner universities, students have the option of studying abroad for a summer, a semester, or a full-year while earning credit toward their management major and/or general education requirements.
In addition, short-term UNC Asheville faculty-led programs focusing on management and business abroad are also an option where students visit international companies, hear guest lectures on local business and economic topics, and participate in numerous cultural immersion activities. Recent faculty led trips have explored Brexit and the European Union, business in Ireland, and business in India.
