King will discuss the importance of intellectual virtues, such as curiosity, carefulness, autonomy, humility, and open-mindedness. King’s lecture will explore why these virtues matter, and how students and professors can develop them.

Queer Studies Conference

UNC Asheville will host its biennial Queer Studies Conference from March 24-26 on campus, bringing together scholars, artists and activists for workshops and presentations focusing on the theme “Blooming: Metamorphoses and Seasons of Queerness.” This conference is open to the pubic and free for all attendees, with a suggested donation of $20-60.
