Welcome to UNC Asheville, Bulldogs! We’re glad you’re here. Whether you’re just a semester away from graduation or getting ready to start your very first college course, we’ve got plenty for you to do your first two weeks here to get you in the groove for a great year.
#1) Find your classes.
New to UNC Asheville? No worries. Our campus map will help you find your way so you won’t miss a single class.
#2) Eat ice cream.
You don’t want to miss the First Day of Class Ice Cream Social! Head out to the Quad between 2:30-5 p.m. for free sweets!
#3) Join a club.
Want to bake cupcakes to fund girls’ education? Play Ultimate Frisbee? Create original art? Find the perfect club, organization or intramural sport to get involved in at the Student Involvement Fair, Tuesday, Aug. 23 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. on the Quad.
#4) Cheer for the Bulldogs!
You’re part of dog pack, now! Root for the home team at the women’s soccer game against Tennessee Tech at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 19, and don’t miss the women’s volleyball game against Montreat at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 30.
#5) Have a (tea) party.
Head out to the ROOTS garden (one of our many campus gardens!) and learn to make tea from herbs grown right here on campus. The Garden Tea Party runs from 3 – 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 24.
#6) Go on an adventure.
Get out into your new mountain home! Take a night hike with Outdoor Programs on Friday, Aug. 26 or join them for a day of “Apples, Goats and Waterfalls” on Saturday, Sept. 3.
