We offer music camps throughout the summers for middle, high school, college and continuing students.
Jazz Camp
Developed with the serious music student in mind, this residency is an in-depth week-long summer program for high school, college and continuing students in the musical performing arts designed by the contemporary music faculty to accelerate all aspects of musical development.
At UNC Asheville, our Music and Music Technology programs push the boundaries of music education. Our college students receive directed instruction in Studio Music and Jazz while cross training in Eco and Ethnomusicology plus Roots and Popular Music. In addition, these programs explore experimental music and visuals, electronic music, and the most contemporary concert and improvisational music to date, all housed inside a comprehensive liberal arts curriculum designed to produce well-rounded graduates.
Taking its cue from the University's four year program, the Summer Music Intensive is designed to accelerate knowledge and understanding of all forms of improvisational music. Students will participate in a variety of challenging and rewarding ensembles and classes taught while interacting daily with the faculty and guest artists.
