Through studying theory combined with hands-on practice, New Media students learn to explore and articulate new technological forms of art, design, and communication. Student and faculty in New Media work includes 2D and 3D animation, stop motion, video, interactive art and design, web-based platforms, sonic art, performance art, installations, robotic, client-driven design and digital prints.
The department also hosts an annual juried student show which showcases student work that utilize new and old technologies, explore the intersection of art and science and experiment with new forms of narratives.
