UNC Asheville history majors can receive course credit and valuable experience through internships with archives, museums and historic or government agencies. Students have recently served as interns at the Thomas Wolfe House, the Vance Birthplace, UNC Asheville Special Collections, the Smith-McDowell House, and at the Swannanoa Valley Museum in nearby Black Mountain.
