Making a Difference in Asheville’s Environment
Over many years, UNC Asheville environmental studies faculty and students carefully monitored migration of pollutants in the groundwater and soil near a Superfund site in South Asheville and worked with chemistry faculty and students to measure levels of toxins. Their findings have contributed to a greater understanding of the need for remediation, which began in the summer of 2018.
