I am originally from Maryland right outside of Washington, D.C., and I earned my Bachelor of Social Work degree from Appalachian State in 2014 with the intention of working in homeless services. After managing the homeless shelter in Boone for several years, I went on to follow my dream of hiking the Appalachian Trail in its entirety in 2018. Since then, I have worked in wilderness therapy, life coaching, and have recently gone back to school to pursue my Masters in Mental Health Counseling at Lenoir-Rhyne University.

My job as a Career Coach at the UNCA Career Center has allowed me to work one-on-one with students to discuss everything from resume help, major and career exploration, and just about everything in between. I have really enjoyed helping UNCA students on their journey to figure out their next steps. Outside of work, I love playing disc golf, enjoying the beautiful nature of the surrounding WNC area, and spending time with my partner and our cat.
