After receiving her undergraduate degree from Dickinson College, Lee Anne completed law school at Emory University. After graduation, she joined the DeKalb County (Ga.) District Attorney’s office where she worked as a Senior Assistant District Attorney and head of the Crimes Against Children Unit.
Following her family’s move to Asheville in 1999, Lee Anne began teaching as an adjunct, first at AB Tech in their Criminal Justice program and then at UNC Asheville. She also teaches as an adjunct in Brevard College’s Criminal Justice program.
She teaches courses related to law and criminal justice, including Criminology, Juvenile Delinquency, Gender and Crime, Courts and Social Change, Victimology, and Judicial Practices and Procedure.
Lee Anne serves as a volunteer for and board member of Pisgah Legal Services.
