Lauren DeHaan

Though I'm originally from Allentown, PA I've lived most of my life in Indianapolis, IN. I didn't realize how much I missed the mountains until moving to Asheville, and I absolutely love living here. I earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) and later earned my Master's degree in Education from Indiana University with concentrations in adult education and instructional systems technology. I started my career in human resources, but transitioned to career services and discovered that it was the field that I wanted to stay in.

I really love helping students discover their passions and helping them learn how to make their dreams a reality. I am so excited to continue supporting students with their career exploration and development at UNCA, as well as partnering with faculty to support their efforts to bring career education into the classroom. Outside of work, I love reading, hiking, and spending time with my two Newfoundlands. I highly value constant growth and learning, so my next adventure is trying to learn how to homestead.
