Kim Brown is an Associate Professor who joined the UNC Asheville Department of Education in 2005. She serves as a professor of numerous courses, advisor and Program Coordinator for the K-6 Elementary licensure program, CAEP Accreditation Director, Licensure Officer, and Associate Department Chair. Prior to joining the UNC Asheville faculty, Kim worked for 10 years with Transylvania County, NC schools in a variety of positions at all school levels as a teacher, school-level administrator, and Central Office administrator. Kim is particularly interested in assessment, accountability, and gender differences in learning, and B-12 curriculum with science education as a specialty.
