I graduated from UNCA December 2019. I now work for a company called Fortec Medical that specializes in the mobilization and medical applications of laser technology. My time at UNCA afforded me a lot of great opportunities to network and to gain the knowledge necessary for my current career path. My advice to prospective students is to make the most of the opportunities at UNCA. I originally was a mechatronics major, took several classes in the discipline, then decided it wasn't for me. I switched to Biology afterwards and stayed because of how great the faculty are and the passion for learning my cohort displayed. I would strongly recommend the Biology program for any student interested in studying Life Science. My degree hangs in my apartment, and I wouldn't trade it or the experiences I had at UNCA (even the hard ones) for anything.
