Elijah LaPlante manages the Mass Communication Media Lab, which houses all video and audio equipment students utilize to complete multimedia projects for Mass Communication and Visual Media Production courses. He also leads workshops alongside course professors to show students how to properly operate equipment safely and effectively. A UNCA Mass Communication alum, Elijah has spent the years following his graduation working as a freelance videographer and photographer with work ranging from portraiture to documentary, commercial and narrative film. He’s especially found success working with local artists and musicians in capturing and creating visual content, whether it be live performances, music videos, or social media campaigns.
