Devin joined UNC Asheville as a Postdoctoral Fellow in August 2023. Their research centers on the political economy of finance from an international, comparative, and historical perspective employing both quantitative and qualitative methodological approaches. In particular, their research examines the creation of state-owned public banks, the intersection of finance and climate politics, and the governance of illicit markets. They teach courses in international relations, political economy, and climate politics. Devin received their PhD in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2023, and a BS in Public Policy Analysis from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University in 2015
