    Dr. Eggers’ research interests fall under the unifying theme of creating a sustainable future for life on earth.  Current areas of interest include carbon sequestration, exotic invasive plant management, ecosystem restoration, sustainable agriculture, greening institutions and policy tools for a sustainable world.  Between undergraduate and graduate school, she worked in a pesticide toxicology laboratory, at US EPA as a Superfund Site Manager, and for the NC Department of Environmental Quality in Special Waste Management.
