Bio

Colleen was raised in the Atlanta, GA area and graduated from Berry College in Rome, GA in May 2014 with a B.S. in Exercise Science. After working different positions in the health & fitness field in both Atlanta, GA and Seattle, WA, she returned to her alma mater to serve as an Admissions Counselor.  She discovered a new passion for working with students and their families and guiding them through the college admissions process. In her time in this role Colleen found the work challenging, but rewarding and realized that pursuing a career in the Higher Education was the path for her.

An opportunity to expand her career within higher education and a love of the outdoors and the Asheville area led Colleen to pursue an opportunity to join the staff at UNC Asheville in September 2017. Colleen was captivated by the mission and vision of the school and is excited about her new position to serve as Alumni Relations Coordinator. Her role will include coordinating alumni events, engaging with UNCA alumni and serving as an advisor to the Student Alumni Association.

Everything from Curate, but especially the fried eggplant with honey and rosemary. Ohhh and the clams with chorizo.

Target

How will you spend your time after retirement?
Traveling, eating and spending quality time with family and friends.

Where would we find you during the Zombie Apocalypse?
I'd barricade myself in Target or Costco.
