A very proud 'Jersey Girl,' I spent most of my life in the Hudson Valley, NY. I attended SUNY Brockport, a liberal arts state college in upstate New York, where I earned my Bachelor's of Science in History with a minor in Women & Gender Studies. I then pursued a Master's in Higher Education at Syracuse University so that I could always be on a college campus in different student support and engagement roles.
While being with the UNC Asheville Career Center, I’m finding a passion for supporting students in whatever they want to do next, and what they can do now to help their ‘next.’ Getting to know and work with students one-on-one and supervising our Career Peer student staff have been some of the joys of my career thus far and I can’t wait to see what the next year brings. I never would have expected to find myself working in a career center, but I am so grateful to be here, doing truly meaningful work, and supporting the incredible students at UNC Asheville.
When I’m not at the Career Center, I’m most likely cuddling one of my three cats, reading a book, or running in preparation for whatever race I have coming up next!
