Carolyn moved to Western North Carolina after hiking the Appalachian Trail in 1995, planning to spend 6 months. More than 20 years later, she's still here. She's worked in the disability community in a variety of roles since 1997, including more than 15 years with the TEACCH Autism Program. A graduate of the UNCA Master of Liberal Arts program, she also has an MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts and her writing can be found in a variety of publications.
