Betty Shotton is President of Liftoff Leadership & a Partner with Berkana Consulting Group. She is an Advisor & Coach to Executives and Boards and a recognized Leadership Speaker. She is a serial entrepreneur, having started and led six companies in the fields of real estate, aviation and business consulting. The largest of her endeavors went public on the NYSE in 1998. Betty was instrumental in establishing commercial air service on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. She received her Airline Transport rating and often joined her pilots in flying passengers in and out of the busy DC/Philadelphia/NYC airspace. She has served on the Boards of Cape Air, The First Flight Foundation, The United Way, Girl Scout Councils and The Batten School of Leadership & Public Policy at The University of Virginia. She currently serves on the Hatch Innovation Hub Board in Asheville. Ms. Shotton’s areas of expertise are Entrepreneurism, Business Development & Strategy and Executive Leadership Development. She received her BA from UVA where she was part of the first class of women and her MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University. Betty and her husband live outside of Asheville, North Carolina.
