I graduated from UNCA in May of 2020. During my time in the Department of Biology, I was an active member of the Reynolds Lab, conducting several research projects largely focusing on the evolution and diversity of squamate reptiles in Southeast Asia and the Greater Antilles. I joined Dr. Reynolds on several trips to the Caribbean to study the ecology and conservation biology of West Indian Boas, and additionally conducted an expedition to northern Vietnam to survey amphibians and reptiles, which yielded the discovery of a new species of snake. I currently reside as a graduate student in the Evolution, Ecology, and Population Biology program at Washington University in St. Louis, where I’m studying the evolution and ecology of lizards in the laboratory of Dr. Jonathan Losos.
