Anne Marie (or AM as known on campus) is a true local unicorn as she was born in Asheville. She graduated from UNC Asheville in 2011 with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Mass Communication. AM graduated from UNC Greensboro’s Counseling program with a concentration in marriage and family counseling in 2013. She briefly worked with children through young adult ages in a clinical mental health setting before transferring to an advisor role at UNCA in 2015.  She enjoys using her counseling background and helping skills to support students' holistic health and enjoys helping students find their passions and strengths. She also loves leading a stellar team of student success specialists who are all invested in student success. 

In her spare time, AM enjoys watching all manner of animals (including chinchillas!) with her pet-sitting business. She loves a good mystery novel, anything to do with fall, visiting the farmer’s market on campus, listening to early 2000s emo, going to concerts, hip-hop dancing, traveling, and being an aunt to the two cutest nieces ever.
