Alex Rangel

Born in Raleigh, North Carolina; I was raised 20 minutes down the highway in Holly Springs. I began my educational journey at Wake Technical Community College and obtained my Bachelors in Social Work (BSW) from Appalachian State University (Boone, NC) in 2020. Upon graduation I moved to Hickory, NC and began working as College/Career Advisor at the high school level. It was during my time in this role that I decided to go back to school for my masters degree. I am currently in the MAEd School Counseling program at Western Carolina University. It is my hope to graduate with both the school and clinical mental health counseling licensures. Since starting my masters program, I recently moved to Asheville and am enthralled with the area.

I have a passion for helping individuals achieve their goals. I love empowering individuals to overcome obstacles, identify their strengths, and make informed decisions about their career paths. Whether you're a current, recent, or past UNCA graduate, I look forward to helping you navigate your career journey with confidence and clarity. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends, hiking, going to the gym, and watching baseball or soccer.
