UNC Asheville Receives $1.2M Grant to Empower Older Adults and Adults with Disabilities
The NC Center for Health and Wellness (NCCHW) at the University of North Carolina Asheville has received a $1.2 million three year grant award from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Community Living (ACL) for the “Empowering Older Adults and Adults with Disabilities through Chronic Disease Self-Management Education Program (CDSME)” funding opportunity.

Today, the University of North Carolina Asheville announced Asheville 2030: Rising to the Challenge, a plan to ensure the University achieves a sustainable enrollment of 3,200 students by the year 2030 while strengthening its commitment to student-centered focus, hands-on learning, human- and technology-driven solutions, and career-ready emphasis.
