Serving and connecting with our neighbors and the world.
UNC Asheville is proud be a vital part of such a vibrant community. Each year, we welcome the community to campus to enjoy hundreds of cultural and athletic events, lectures, and special academic programs. Our students, faculty and staff also step out into the community, serving in leadership roles and participating as volunteers through the Key Center for Community Engaged Learning.
We’re thrilled to have a wide range of innovative centers and institutes making a difference in our beautiful region. These centers include the Center for Diversity Education, which provides programming to more than 20,000 students, teachers and citizens throughout WNC every year, and the Charles T. McCullough Jr. Institute for Conservation, Land Use and Environmental Resiliency which, along with the National Environmental Modeling & Analysis Center (NEMAC), will help solve some of the nation’s most challenging environmental issues, while providing UNC Asheville students with the skills and experience they need to succeed in their future careers.
UNC Asheville is also dedicated to helping local schools. We have more than 30 programs in the region’s K-12 school systems aimed at preparing students for higher education.
In service to the business and leadership community, the Leadership Asheville program develops, connects and mobilizes leaders and the Family Business Forum is a resource to help family-held businesses maximize their performance and transition successfully to the next generation.
From tailgate markets to children’s sports camps, and from the arts to the entire business community, your gifts help UNC Asheville remain engaged and relevant to the region we serve.
