You know it's coming, but somehow it always feels like Exam Week has snuck up on you—and suddenly, it’s here! It’s easy to get overwhelmed with all the studying, finishing up (or just starting) final projects and term papers. Take a deep breath, Bulldogs. You’ve got this. And we’ve got special events and activities throughout the week to help you do your best on those exams.
Extended Library Hours
Somehow your roommate got away with only one final paper that they’ve already finished, and they’re not really excited about you staying up with the lights on studying until 2 a.m. (Or maybe they are really excited about staying up until 2 a.m. and you just need some peace and quiet to study). Ramsey Library has extended hours throughout Exam Week so you can have your study haven. Check out http://library.unca.edu/about/hours for updated hours.
Reading Day Relaxation
Yes, Reading Day is for, well, reading. But this year it’s also for massages and coloring. Head to room 417 in the Sherrill Center from noon to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 6 for snacks, fair trade teas, free massages, coloring activities, and essential oil activities to make your own scented sprays for calming and focus.
Sometimes no one understands your troubles like a dog. Take a quick study break and visit the therapy dogs in Ramsey Library from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 6. Studies have shown that interacting with pets can reduce stress, lower blood pressure, and even relieve anxiety. Come pet some furry doggies and put those theories to the test.
After enjoying some quality puppy time, stick around the library for a special study break with snacks, cider, and fruit-infused water. There will also be coloring sheets to give your brain a break. Study break on Dec. 6 lasts from 7-8:30 p.m.
She’s the First, a student organization that raises funds for girls’ education in low-income countries, will hold its final bake sale on Dec. 8 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the Ramsey Library lobby. Cupcakes are $1—just try to not smear frosting on your papers.
