SUMMARY:The Shape of Repair: Patchwork in Wood Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:The S. Tucker Cooke Gallery presents an exhibition of work by sculptor Laura Petrovich-Cheney. Using salvaged architectural wood\, Petrovich-Cheney creates quilt-inspired wall pieces that explore memory\, repair\, and renewal. Her geometric compositions draw on the visual language of patchwork while transforming discarded materials into contemporary works of art. DESCRIPTION:Enjoy an evening of live music at Greenwood Baseball Field for the Welcome Concert. Doors open at 6 p.m.\, with music beginning at 7 p.m.  Planet Ruti will take the stage before headliner Weston Estate performs at 8:00 p.m. Bring your friends and settle in for an evening of live music and Bear’s BBQ as the campus community comes together to celebrate the start of a new academic year.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n    Accessibility\nUNC Asheville is committed to providing universal access to all of our events. Guests carrying medically necessary bags or equipment into a venue will be required to have their bag inspected and tagged by security. For questions about medical equipment or other needs please contact the Athletics Operations office at 828-251-6930. Diapers and other baby supplies can be carried in a clear bag. Each member of a family\, including children\, would be allowed to carry an approved clear bag and a clutch purse into the venue.
