UNC Asheville’s campus will host art shows and sales on consecutive weekends, Nov. 9-10 and 16-17, and Arts Fest – a day of art presentations by members of the campus community on Nov. 16.
OLLI Art Bazaar, Nov. 9-10
The OLLI Art Bazaar, presenting works of art and crafts for sale, will take place from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 9, and from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10, at UNC Asheville’s Reuter Center, home of OLLI, the Osher Lifelong Learning Center.
The OLLI Art Bazaar offers a chance to get a head start on holiday shopping, with painting, fiber arts, photography, jewelry, scarves, handmade soaps and lotions, cards and paper art, pottery, stained and fused glass, wood art, turned wood bowls and more, presented for display and sale by OLLI members.

Arts Fest and Holiday Art Sale, Nov. 16-17
UNC Asheville’s Department of Art and Art History will hold its 2018 Holiday Art Sale from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17, in Owen Hall, in the S. Tucker Cooke Gallery.
A wide variety of functional and decorative pottery, drawings, prints, paintings, photography, glass and sculpture crafted by UNC Asheville students will be on sale with pieces beginning at $5. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Department of Art and Art History. For more information, visit art.unca.edu.
Arts Fest, presented by the university’s Arts and Ideas Program, will take place on Friday, Nov. 16, with campus community presenters, performers, and exhibits in and around Owen Hall. For more information, visit arts.unca.edu/events.
All of these activities are free and open to everyone, and will be sweetened with home-baked cookies available for sale, along with snacks and beverages.
