Karpen Hall, Laurel ForumDavid Castro received a B.Mus. in Music Education from Pacific Union College, a M.M. in Music Theory from the University of Arizona, and a Ph.D. in Music Theory from the University of Oregon. He currently teaches courses in theory, aural skills, counterpoint, and advanced analysis. Dr. Castro's research interests include the music of Dmitri Shostakovich and Arvo Pärt, and the pedagogy of music theory.
