The week-long event features an outdoor concert on the UNC Asheville Quad on Friday, April 14 with Indigenous hip-hop artists, a DJ, and mural artists from North and South America to celebrate hip-hop culture and highlight the power of music and literature as tools for promoting awareness about Indigenous and African American realities in Abiayala (the Americas).
"The Southern Appalachian Weather and Climate Workshop, held April 14-15 in Highsmith Union, brings together a diverse group of federal, academic, students, and broadcast media to share research, operations, and communication of weather, water, and climate events.
The Student Creative Activity and Research Forum, showcasing student projects that have been selected for the Outstanding Achievement in Creative Activity and Research Award, will take place from 5-7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 14 in Highsmith Union.
