“Teaching History in Public School Today,” Lecture by John DeVille

Whitesides Hall, 016

John DeVille, a Macon County Schools educator, will present "Teaching History in the Public School Today" at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, in Whitesides Hall, room 016. DeVille's lecture will focus on how educators can navigate an increasingly polarized climate where they are under unprecedented scrutiny by school boards, parents and citizens, especially when it comes to teaching the United States' history of slavery, disenfranchisement, terrorism, and economic injustice.
