TheatreUNCA Presents “She Kills Monsters”

TheatreUNCA will perform an entirely student-run production of She Kills Monsters, a fantasy play written by award-winning playwright Qui Nguyen, with four performances in UNC Asheville’s Carol Belk Theatre. Directed by UNC Asheville senior drama student Lea Gilbert, the show will premiere Nov. 14 at 7:30 p.m. with evening performances running until Nov. 16. One matinee will be offered at 2 p.m. on Nov. 17.

BFA Drawing Exhibition by K. Theo Stultz: “Dreaming Chain”

Drawings by UNC Asheville BFA student K. Theo Stultz will be on view in a new exhibition, "Dreaming Chain," opening with a reception from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 15 in the Highsmith Student Union Gallery. The exhibition will remain on view through Dec. 3. Admission is free to the reception and the exhibition. Highsmith Student Union is open daily until midnight, and until 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.

BFA Painting Exhibition by Tiffany Jones: ““Full Spectrum Faces”

Paintings by UNC Asheville BFA student Tiffany Jones will be featured in an exhibition which opens with a reception from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 15 in the RAMP Studio Gallery, 821 Riverside Dr., Asheville. The exhibit remains on view through Dec. 3. Admission is free to the reception and the exhibition. Gallery hours are 9 a.m.-8 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m.-8 p.m. on weekends, with evening and weekend entry through the French Broad Chocolate Factory entrance at RAMP.

Reuter Center Singers – Broadway Now and Then

Biltmore United Methodist Church 376 Hendersonville Rd., Asheville

The Reuter Center Singers, the community choir of OLLI, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, will sing Broadway hits at an off-campus concert at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 17, at Biltmore United Methodist Church, 376 Hendersonville Rd., Asheville. Admission is free; donations are welcome.
