Cherokee Cultural Week, with Keynote Talk by Principal Chief Richard G. Sneed

UNC Asheville will celebrate Cherokee Cultural Week with special activities Nov. 13-15 and a keynote address by Principal Chief Richard G. Sneed of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14, in UNC Asheville's Highsmith Student Union Blue Ridge Room. All Cherokee Cultural Week activities are free and open to everyone.

TheatreUNCA Presents “She Kills Monsters”

Carol Belk Theatre

TheatreUNCA will perform an entirely student-run production of She Kills Monsters, a fantasy play written by award-winning playwright Qui Nguyen, with four performances in UNC Asheville’s Carol Belk Theatre. Directed by UNC Asheville senior drama student Lea Gilbert, the show will premiere Nov. 14 at 7:30 p.m. with evening performances running until Nov. 16. One matinee will be offered at 2 p.m. on Nov. 17.

Food Waste Solutions Summit 2019

Presented by the Asheville Buncombe Food Policy Council, the Food Waste Solutions Summit is a regional gathering to disrupt food waste issues facing our communities, expand our networks, and inspire dynamic solutions. The summit is free and open to everyone, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Reuter Center on campus. Online registration is requested.
