Webinar: What is a College Basketball Bubble?

With proposals now being considered that college basketball be played in “bubbles” similar to those of the NBA and NHL, UNC Asheville’s Department of Athletics will present an online discussion about bubbles at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 23. Access to the webinar is open to all.

UNC Asheville Director of Athletics Janet R. Cone will host a webinar with special guests Atlantic 10 Commissioner Bernadette McGlade, Big South Commissioner Kyle Kallander, UNC Asheville Head Men’s Basketball Coach Mike Morrell, and UNC Asheville Head Women’s Basketball Coach Honey Brown. They will discuss the feasibility of playing college basketball in a bubble from both a coaching and administrative perspective, while looking ahead to the 2020-21 season.
