Visiting Writer Series: Xhenet Aliu

UNC Asheville’s Fall 2020 [Virtual] Visiting Writer Series will continue at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 20 with a reading by Xhenet Aliu. This Zoom event is presented by UNC Asheville’s Department of English and is free and open to everyone with pre-registration required at this link.

Aliu’s novel, Brass, was awarded the 2018 Georgia Author of the Year First Novel Prize, was a Barnes & Noble “Discover Great New Writers” selection. Her debut fiction collection, Domesticated Wild Things, won the Prairie Schooner Book Prize in Fiction. Her writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Boston Globe, Glimmer Train, Hobart, American Short Fiction, Lenny, LitHub, Buzzfeed, and elsewhere.
