Visiting Writer Series: Angela Morales

Angela Morales, author of The Girls in My Town, a collection of personal essays, will read and discuss her work when UNC Asheville’s Visiting Writer Series, all online this year, continues on Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 7:30 p.m.  This event is free and open to everyone on Zoom – click here for the link.

The Girls in My Town was the winner of the 2017 PEN/Diamonstein-Spielvogel Award for the Art of the Essay. Morales’ work also has appeared in Best American Essays, Harvard Review, The Southern Review, The Southwest Review, The Los Angeles Review, Arts and Letters, and others.

This reading will be hosted by UNC Asheville Professor of English Lori Horvitz, author of The Girls of Usually.
