UNC Asheville’s TheatreUNCA Presents Everyone
October 14 @ 7:00 pm - October 17 @ 4:00 pm
For the first time since early 2020, UNC Asheville’s TheatreUNCA will return to the stage in front of a live, in-person audience with Everyone. Inspired by the 15th-century morality play, Everyman, and infused with our shared experiences under the pandemic, Everyone explores the age-old story of facing death, taking account, experiencing isolation and resentment, making amends, and reemerging into the world with a joyous rebirth. Directors Stephanie Hickling Beckman (spoken word), Carolina Perez (music), and Aaron Snook (movement), along with a curated three-ensemble cast, wrote and adapted the script for this unique event with the collective goal of bringing audiences out of pandemic-related isolation and back into the community.
This event will take place outdoors on UNC Asheville’s Reynolds Green (outside of Carol Belk Theatre).
The event is free, but audiences will need to reserve a ticket through Eventbrite.
As members of this community, we care about everyone. Masks are strongly encouraged for all students, faculty, staff, and visitors, regardless of vaccination status, when they can’t maintain six feet of distance in an outdoor setting.
