In celebration of Black History Month, UNC Asheville Ramsey Library Special Collections is proud to present the Isaiah Rice Photography Exhibit which showcases the African American community in Asheville. The photos in the exhibit are a sample of the approximately 1,400 images which illustrate urban Appalachia as depicted through the lens of an African American man during some of the nation’s most pivotal events of the mid-20th century.
The gallery is free to all and available for viewing during Ramsey Library’s open hours.
