UNC Asheville’s Young Activist Club (YAC) is pleased to present a Pride Speaker event on Saturday, September 25. Join them in welcoming local LGBTQ+ activists and community members for an afternoon of LGBTQ+ culture, story, activism, and open discussion.

The event kicks off at 12:45 PM and will feature four guest speakers including Claire Clark discussing “The History and Future of Radical, Revolutionary Queer Organizing and Action,” Allé K discussing “Queer and Trans Small Business Ownership & Healing, Wellness, Movement Spaces for Queer and Trans Individuals,” Taylon Breanne discussing “The Current State of LGBTQ+ Political Involvement and Activism,” and closing with UNCA YAC President & Founder MacGregor VanBeurden discussing “Toxic Masculinity and Internalized Homophobia Within the LGBTQ+ Community.”
